I haven’t had a chance to watch “Space Battleship Yamato” yet but it is on my queue of films to watch in 2011. Guess I’ll be adding this one too.

@carmen taira: The movie is based on the anime series by Leiji Matsumoto (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Space_Battleship_Yamato). You may recognize the English title: “Star Blazers.”
